I understand that for studios and clients who are looking for a 3D designer, it is important to understand the process of work to be sure that the collaboration will be successful. Therefore, I decided to make a separate page with a brief description of the process of creating a 3D illustration.

First, I write briefly the idea, format, and duration of the video.
In this project, the brief looks like this: a cute owl sits on a tree in a night forest and swings like a pendulum. Her eyes and the pendulum in her stomach move in time, creating the effect of a looping wall clock. 
After a brief and collecting some references on PureRef, I started drawing sketches. Depending on the task, they can contain from a couple to several dozen different variants. If I have enough time for a project, I color the sketch to save time on color matching while texturing.
Then I started the modeling process. In this case, I made an owl by sculpting in the Forger program on iPad, but I also work in Zbrush if it's needed. 
After sculpting, I started modeling the background elements in Cinema 4D. After modeling, I choose HDRI's for a better understanding of shadows and colors for texturing process. 
When everything was ready, I took a break for resketching (pic 2). This practice helps me a lot in creating good details, texture patterns, and colors.
After all the modeling details were ready, I sent Cinema 4D files to Dmitry, who animated this loop. If the project is much bigger and has multiple objects, I give him a blocking version of the scene with primitive shapes for creating an animatic to save time during the modeling process. This project is not that big, so I send him a ready version of the models. 
During the animation process, I created textures with a noise effector and added a lot of area lights to highlight the details. When the animation was ready, Dmitry combined everything and hit the render. Also, he slightly changed the contrast in After Effects during the compositing process.
